Alvie House is an Edwardian style shooting lodge at the heart of the 13,000 acre Alvie and Dalraddy estates. It is home to the Williamson family, who have lived here for five generations.
The house has always been a family home and its warm and welcoming atmosphere recalls years of happy family gatherings, parties and celebrations.
The house faces south and enjoys glorious views across a small loch and native pine woodland to the majestic Cairngorm mountains beyond. Its rooms are light and spacious, traditionally decorated with period furniture and family portraits. The reception rooms include a drawing room, library, dining room and billiard room with a full-sized billiard table.

We can cater for any event you’d like to hold at Alvie House. Wherever possible we use produce from the estate or the local area including beef, venison and lamb.
Accommodation
Why not make your Alvie experience last longer by staying overnight—or even for a few nights? Alvie House offers comfortable accommodation with all bedrooms available, accommodating up to 17 guests. Choose from two double rooms, five twin rooms, and three single rooms, with en-suite bathrooms available in the double bedrooms and one of the twin rooms.
For larger groups, consider combining the house bedrooms with the Top Flat, which can accommodate ten guests, allowing for a total of 27 people to stay on-site. It’s the perfect way to prolong your celebrations or gatherings.
Exclusive use of the estate is also available, ensuring privacy and tranquillity during your stay.
